You can catch Cindy Jo Schloer performing tomorrow night, Friday Jan 9, at the Stacy Sports Bar and by then she’ll know if she’s in or out in the popular career-launching televised competition.
Schloer auditioned a while back for this season of American Idol 2015, and as of late last week the FOX network people were still holding results very close to the vest.
Producers advised her that she couldn’t refer to herself as anything but “an American Idol hopeful” until official announcements would be released (night of Jan 7.)
Musicians and singers with social media were supposed to steer clear of any premature announcements until the FOX people release the news.
In or out-- either way, music is her passion and her career and she has plans to go to Nashville and do some recording.
Schloer is probably best known regionally for performing with Dirt Road Dixie Band, which as the name suggests, does country music. There’s a few 80’s rocker tunes mixed in too, but mostly she is known for telling lyrical tales of love, fasttimes and heartbreak in her unique sweet voice.
Schloer still resides in North Branch where she grew up and graduated from high school.
At 26-years-old, now, she commented that she has been working in the music scene long enough to shave the sharp edges from her stage nerves, and even do her own songs. She thinks the Idol audition experience went really well and she might even unveil an original tune on stage with the band at Stacy tomorrow night.
