Daniel Joseph Armstrong, age 43, went to Heaven early the evening, March 24, 2015.  He was born and grew up in Lindstrom, MN area.  He attended Vermillion Community College for Waste Water Management. After graduating and working in a couple metro communities, he returned to Ely, Minnesota, the community he loved.  Dan has happily been with the Ely Water Department since 2000.

He and his wife, Jennifer and children; Keisha, Anthony, and Angel have been active members of the Ely community. Dan loved his family, the outdoors, his dogs, and had a special interest in shooting sports and conservation.  He loved everything that allowed him to be outside, especially gardening, fishing, and hunting. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlene and Gerald (Jerry).  He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, children: Keisha, Anthony, Angel. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers:  Karen; Connie (Paul); Tom (Cathy); Peggy; Mark (Gaye);, Susan; Amy (Brian) and foster-couple Wendy and Jeff;  along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and special family friends; it would be impossible to mention them all. 

Dan also leaves behind the love and friendship of his in-laws, many neighbors, and the many dear friends with whom he worked and played.

Visitation and services on Saturday, March 28 at LedgeRock Community Church in Ely. Visitation 1-2 p.m. and services at 2 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Kerntz Funeral Home http://www.kerntzfuneralhome.com
