George Richard Pokorny, Sr. age 89, of Lindstrom, passed away suddenly on Jan. 29, 2016. Preceded in death by previous wife, Elizabeth; parents Joseph and Stella; sister Josephine; brother Robert; and son-in-law Arnie.

Survived by wife, Joan Grossmann; children: Dorothy (Bob) Aubin; George Jr. (Vicky); Sheila; Monica (Steve) Grapevine and Michael (Angel); Grossmann children and their families; brother, Ralph; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Bob Doty and other family and friends. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His kind heart was shown by his many hours of volunteering.

Memorial service will be Friday, February 5 at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Chisago Lake Ev. Lutheran Church, 1 Summit Ave., Center City, MN 55012.
