Dorothe’ Virginia Stream, age 95, of Lindstrom, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2016.  

Dorothe’ was born to Charles and Marie McCowen on May 28, 1920 in Waterbury, Connecticut.  Dorothe’ was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.  Retired after 34 years with MNDOT.  She was a lifelong member of both the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.  

She was preceded in death by husband Lyle; parents Charles and Marie McCowen; and sister Ann Costello.  She is survived by son, Lyle; daughters Lynda (Swanson) and Laurie; brother Charles (Doris); niece Lynn (Skip) Tinker; nephew Chuck (Mary) McCowen; grandchildren Patrick (Carla) Stream, Kristen (Dan) Peterson, Stephanie (Mark) Maser, Courtney Swanson; and eight great grandchildren  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
