David “Dave” J. Borek, age 75, of North Branch, died suddenly on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Regions Hospital, in St. Paul.

Dave was born on April 14, 1940 in Chisago City to parents, Frank and Jenny (Zvwyrk) Borek.  He was raised and attended schools in Chisago City.  Dave loved old cars and spent time fixing them and selling them.  He thoroughly enjoyed going to car museums and looking at all the wonderful automobiles that have been built.  He loved the time spent with his family and was known as a tease.  For the last 13 years Dave worked in logistics for the Target Store in Forest Lake.  

He is survived by his loving wife Virginia “Ginni”; children, Tracy (Doran), Eric and Jeremy (fiancé Emily); grandchildren, Rachel, Samantha and Tiffani; sister in law Debbie Borek and numerous extended family members and friends.  Dave is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Jenny, brothers, Art and wife Virginia, and Frank and Jim.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12  at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom with Rev. Brad Barr officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home, on Saturday.  A family interment will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
