After divorcing, she moved to Center City, where she worked at the bank. She met and dated Myron "Pinky" Morrison, and they became engaged. Pinky opened the Swedish Village Mall. Sharlene opened a gift shop in the Swedish Village Mall and became known for her sweet treats, including pies, rolls, Swedish Tea Rings and of course her amazing fudge. In addition to the gift shop, Sharlene helped Pinky manage the Swedish Village Mall doing all of his book keeping and running the restaurant. Among her hobbies and talents were; knitting afghans, crocheting doilies, embroidery and sewing. Sharlene enjoyed reading mysteries and doing Sudoku puzzles, and spending time visiting with many friends at the Swedish Village Restaurant.
Sharlene is survived by four children: Brian (Sherri) McChesney, Susan Grey, Douglas (Randy) McChesney, and Cheryl Vomero; 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters: Karen Muhlhauser, Kathryn (Jim) Wilson , Koneta King, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Condolences may be expressed online at www.grand strandfh.com
