Librarian Susan Monroe retirement reception honors 20 years of service
Susan Monroe sat with some of the Friends of the North Branch Library, at a reception held July 31 in honor of her retirement, lower photo. Monroe was into her 20th year of service to the patrons of the library. She was enjoying well-wishes and refreshments with the many folks whose lives she has been part of. Youngsters stopped by the library community room to show Susan their books, and members of the Book Group reminded her to keep attending book discussion meetings. Monroe’s successor has not been named yet. From the Wyoming Giese Memorial Library co-librarians (a husband-wife team) Bruce Willms has accepted taking over the interim North Branch librarian duties.
