This weekend is Home Show weekend.  The weather is supposed to be wonderful, so you can’t use that as an excuse.  This year’s show is packed with some great businesses who want nothing more than to say hi to you and explain what their businesses excel in.  

There are some great inexpensive painting classes on both Saturday and Sunday you can take part in. Some of the entertainment at the show:  Norm the magician, River City Cloggers, a great photo booth, painting classes, chalk painting tutorials, Batman and Belle will be on hand for children to take photos with, and much more.

This is most likely (hopefully) the last year in the high school gym, next year we are hoping to host it in the brand new fieldhouse.  That means if you are a vendor, you will have first choice for location of your booth next year.  We are anticipating over 120 vendors next year, so if you still want to get in this year’s show please call Community Education at 651-213-2600.

Congratulations to Aliah Williams of the Chisago Lakes Girls Gymnastics Team. Aliah won the state all-around and is now the best class A gymnast in the state!

I know the weather has gotten warm, but there is still plenty of snow and you know we will get more this season.  With that said, the City of Lindstrom has partnered with the Chisago Lakes Golf Course and have created a wonderful trail system for cross country skiing that covers most of the sprawling grounds.  The trails are groomed and open to the public for some wonderful skiing locally. It is an awesome idea that is perfect exercise for those who are sick of being stuck in their homes over the long cold winter.  What’s better is that you can stop at the Chisago Lakes Grill for a bite to eat or sip on a cocktail.  What a great combination!
