You need an address to mail a card?? Home show is growing
The Chisago Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Chisago Lakes Community Education would like to invite all local businesses, large and small to take part in the first-ever Home Garden and Business Show at the sparkling new, massive, and beautiful Wildcat Community Center. The show has always been held at the high school gym and also in various hallways and rooms. This year we will all be conveniently located in one big area with tons of natural light and yes a sound system you can actually hear.
Need another great reason to sign your business up for the show? How about a reduction of booth cost. Prices have dropped to $150 per 10x10 booth - considerably less than they used to be.
Our (yes I am part of the home show committee) thoughts are if we can lower the cost, more businesses will attend and we will have the most successful show ever. Our new space is so much larger, so let’s fill the show! If you already have registered, don’t worry your fee will be adjusted next year. All businesses are welcome, from direct sales to a company the size of Polaris, all are invited and all are welcome!

Wasn’t that ice on Saturday incredible? I drove up to the Press in Lindstrom, in the morning. Saying I drove is exaggerating a bit. I drove five miles in 30 minutes occasionally sliding into the ditch. I can’t believe we didn’t lose power. I am so glad we didn’t because our sump pump ran non stop from Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon. Sump pump - in December - yuck.
As the new year begins - I want to reflect a bit. This past year has been trying. Lost a couple of very dear friends. I knew it would come at some point in my life, but certainly not at 50. It is a dose of reality that we are all here for a brief moment and it should serve us notice to get off our duffs and lead the life we always wanted to. Jet setting to small islands? Sure if you can swing it. I more mean to say, live life with purpose. I don’t want to be on my deathbed with regret of things I could have done while I was abe to. Including telling your loved ones how you feel everyday.
