The plans are beginning to come together for the extension of County Road 17, between North Branch and Stacy.  The public open house was held last week at Lent Township hall in preparation for finalizing the design  to meet the construction start date in 2025.

The route will be two lanes.  

Round-a-bouts could be utilized at both ends (Above round-a-bout shown connecting at Lincon Trail. The road that goes past the Lent Town Hall will be realigned from the south.)

Chisago County Engineer Joe Triplett said there will be no county assessments for this major transit artery improvement;  bringing County Road 17 from where it stops now at Highway 30 eastward to County Road 14.  

The new improved intersection shown in yellow in right side of graphic below, is Grand Avenue.
