On October 29, Chisago City would love for your kids to come out to Ojiketa for their super-popular Falloween event. This is geared towards younger kids and it is jam packed with fun events for the kids such as crafts, face painting, games, a maze, story times, wagon rides, a pumpkin hunt, music, a costume contest, and a not-so-scary haunted house. The event takes place October 29 and runs from 2:30pm until 4:30pm at Ojiketa. For directions, check the paragraph above.
We have had many calls here at the Press asking about candidates and their beliefs. We have made a one-stop shop for your local political filing statements, that were submitted at filing time. If you go to our website homepage, and on the top bar you will see filing statements. That will direct you to all of the filing statements we have received and printed this fall. Makes a great tool when heading to the polls.
Speaking of candidates, the Chisago Lakes School District would like to invite you to come out and meet the candidates running for school board. As we all know, this election has some large questions regarding the referendum we will soon be voting on. This is your chance to get the candidate’s take on the referendum, and hear what their vision for the school board is. I think its a wonderful idea and would encourage all who are interested to attend. The event will be held at the Wildcat Fitness Center at the High School, October 27 from 5:30 to 7pm. See you there.
Friday, October 28, your kids are invited to Lindstrom for a trick-or-treat on Mainstreet event. Last year over 1,200 kids participated and this year could be bigger. The event runs from 4-6pm. Look for an ad in this week’s Search Shopper and the next Press.
