I cannot believe it is August already.  This summer has flown by in the blink of an eye.  There is someone in our home that is making state fair plans already...

Thanks so much to all of the volunteers who made Center City Days one of the best ever. Other than a little weather Thursday evening, it was a perfect weekend for an event.  

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, it’s Stacy Daze in the spotlight.  Stacy is celebrating the 100 year anniversary of it being established and what better way to celebrate than a summer celebration.  Stacy Daze officially kicks off (tomorrow) Friday with a car show at the Stacy-Lent Fire Department from 5-8pm. There is also a talent show that starts at 6pm at Lions Park.

Saturday morning begins with a 5K run - they ask that you pre-register at Escape Salon right in town.  

Stacy’s Lions Park will have vendors, food, free root beer floats and inflatables for the kids.  The Stacy Daze Parade begins at noon and will work its way through town.  

The Wyoming Wanderers play a concert in Lions Park from 1-3pm followed by Bingo in the park at 3pm.  The night ends with a street dance at Lions Park featuring NDY followed by great fireworks at 9:30pm.  Plenty to do and close-by for everyone.. see you there.

By the time you read this, the event will be over, but I need to make an apology. Last week I (me only) ran an ad for the 2023 Relay for Life in Center City.  Somehow I placed the ad that was used during Covid that stated the event will not take place due to covid restrictions.  I did have the correct date but that information could not have been more wrong.  I am so sorry if this confused any about the event. I am a huge supporter of Relay and would never intentionally print wrong information.  Sorry again.

We recently moved our daughter to a studio apartment in St. Paul.  She has lived in the general area for about four years now and works down by the old Schmidt brewery.  

Anyways, I seriously had never been in a studio apartment and had visions of a square room with the bed touching the stove.  Boy am I wrong.  This studio has room for a bed, two tables a couch a laundry room and two closets.  It is huge and in perfect shape.  The one thing that isn’t in perfect shape is the guy typing this right now.  I ate all of our Advil during the night and still am moving at a snail’s pace this morning.  

Happy anniversary to the love of my life my wife Cheryl.  I can’t imagine life without you.
