This week is one of the biggest town celebrations. Ki Chi Saga Days officially starts Thursday with city wide garage sales.  See the classified section of this paper for a list of sales.

Friday things get rolling  with more garage sales. Frankie’s hosts its most popular fishing tournament of the year,  on the North/SouthCenter and the Big/LittleGreen lakes.

At Moberg Park, you will find story time for kids at 3pm followed by an acoustic show by Shelby Marshall.

At 7:30 p.m. at Paradise Park there is a free movie in the pars and this year it is “Minions Rise of Gru”.

Saturday is jam packed with stuff to do.  There’s arts and crafts and food at Moberg Park beginning at 10am. Also at 10am, the clues will be posted for Moberg’s hidden horn.  Clues will be posted at city hall.  Be the lucky finder and take home a cool $500.  The first clue is in this paper.

Back at Paradise Park there is a kids’ fishing tournament that is free with a ton of giveaways.

At 11am in Chuckie Lindquist  Park there is a skateboard competition.  Back at Moberg Park, they will crown this year’s Little Miss at noon. There is music all day at the bandshell in the park.  This year there is a water ski show at Paradise Park that runs from 6-7pm.  The night caps off with a fireworks show at 8pm at Paradise Park.

Sunday there is a bluegrass band at noon at Moberg.  At 2pm, the Grand Day Parade makes its way up Old Towne Road and into town.  Grab your spot early.  And lastly, Ki Chi Saga Days finishes with a pie eating contest at the pavilion in Moberg Park at 5pm.  Hows that for LOCAL entertainment that is free?  Can’t beat it!

There are a few internet trolls in our area that seem to feel the need to comment on any and all social media posts. The posts I am referring to are usually positive ones, like someone helping a neighbor or something of that nature.  Then these idiots have to chime in with something political or negative.  Their sole purpose is to educate us on how dumb we are and how uber intelligent they are.. My lord - get a hobby.  I can only imagine what conversation is like around their dinner tables.
