In 1970, he married Beverly Bode, settling in Center City where they raised their daughter but later parted ways. He had many people that he enjoyed spending time with through the years. Hank and his brother compared to see who had the bigger tomato plants. For several years he enjoyed spending time at the cabin fishing and snowmobiling. He enjoyed meeting his friends at the bakery for coffee and a donut. He loved playing cribbage with his friends, he would skunk them, or he would get skunked!
