Congratulations to the Class of 2023 who graduated Monday evening at Chisago Lakes Senior High.  North Branch will graduate its seniors on Sunday.  Of the kids that I have dealt with over the years, this class seems to be a class of movers and shakers (do people say that anymore??).  It seems like every student I have spoken to has a plan in life.  Whether it be attending college or heading into the workforce. Very refreshing to see - here is wishing nothing but the best to these young adults and their bright future!

Congratulations to a whole bunch of our local student athletes who are heading to various state tournaments.  We have over 20 track and field athletes from Chisago Lakes and North Branch heading to St. Michael for the state track and field meet.  We have the Chisago Lakes softball team heading to Mankato to play in the state tournament. We have Kali Hanson and Andrew Swanson  of Chisago Lakes playing in the state golf tournament and Olivia Weyenberg and Nick Melvin playing in the state golf tournament as well.  Lots of sports to cheer for - good luck to all athletes - we know you will do great!

The Chisago Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is still looking for volunteers for the final Chisago Lakes Triathlon.  You can volunteer in any capacity such as a road director, a bike judge, at the beach, for set-up or take-down...you get the picture.  Please contact the Chamber at 651-257-1177 for more information.  

We are still collecting clothing for the homeless here at the Press.  Obviously with the temps being so warm, the need for warm clothing has decreased.  There is still a huge need for socks, underwear, and  summer- weather clothing.  

I know it sounds odd folks to donate used underwear, but if you are homeless, wouldn’t a clean pair of used underwear be better than the alternative?

You can bring your clothing up to the Press and we will ensure garments make it on to the backs of some very grateful people who are down on their luck right now.
