The Chisago Lakes School board held an exhaustive, two day interview process with eight semifinalists earlier this week for the superintendent position that is being vacated by Dean Jennissenn at the end of the school year.

The interviews, which took place over Tuesday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 22, whittled the list from eight candidates down to four, two of which are current superintendents at districts smaller than CL and two of which are principals at large schools in Washington County.

The four finalists who will have a follow up interview with the board on Tuesday, March 28 are: 

• Brian Dietz, Superintendent, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Schools

• Malinda Lansfeldt, Elementary Principal, Stillwater Schools

• James Smokrovich, Principal East Ridge High School, South Washington County Schools

• Brent Stavig, Superintendent, Rush City Schools.
