The North Branch volleyball team knew they were going to have their work cut out for them taking on the top-seeded and highly ranked Cloquet Lumberjacks in the section semifinals on Monday, October 30.

Although the Vikings nabbed the first set and had some momentum, the Lumberjacks bounced back to win the next three, ending NB’s season, as the Vikings finished 16-10.

Fourth-seeded North Branch had gotten to the semifinals by beating Princeton in the opening round of sections 3-1. 

The Tigers stole a set in that one, but otherwise, North Branch steamrolled them 25-11, 25-16 and 25-13 in their set wins.
