Lots of stuff to do locally!
There is still time to take in the CLHS Theater’s version of The Addams Family. The show still has this weekend before it wraps up. I had the pleasure of taking in the opening night. It is a wonderful show that I think you and your family would really love. There is music, monsters, comedy (yes even adult comedy) and of course singing. The kids do a great job and Rachel did a great job directing them. I believe you have to purchase the tickets online at clhs.isd2144.org/activities/tickets.
Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving? This fall has been a blur. If you are going to be alone or if you are not spending Thanksgiving with family, I would highly encourage you to come enjoy an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving meal held at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. The meal is free with a free-will offering and will feature your traditional meal with all the fixings. They do ask that you please make a reservation by November 20. This lets them know how much food to prepare.
I have been part of the meal for years and years and these wonderful people take time from their Thanksgiving to put on the meal out of the goodness of their hearts. Please call 651-257-6300 for reservations or if you would like to donate your time or can cook something for the meal.
If you are a bingo fan, this weekend has a couple of options for you and they both take place Friday. Taylors Falls Lions will be hosting the annual turkey and ham bingo night at the Taylors Falls Community Center. The games begin at 6:30pm and cards are 20 for $20. They will have hot dogs, popcorn, pop and treats for sale.
Center City Fire Dept. is hosting their annual Bingo Night. The event takes place in the Fire Hall (behind Pizza Pub) and begins at 7pm. This is a cash prize bingo night with the last game giving away a turkey. Cost of cards is 15 for $15 and they will also have popcorn, hot dogs, pop and more for sale.
GOOD LUCK to the North Branch football team. They have made it to state semifinals and will play Friday at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Here’s hoping for a state title!
