Finally, I can get rid of my old waterbed; a fun play to take in
If you are like me and despise having junk sitting around your garage and house, you are in luck. Beginning this Saturday AAA Appliance will officially kick off their recycling day events. This Saturday at Wyoming Elementary School they will be accepting (for a small fee) appliances, electronics, tires, mattresses/boxsprings, batteries, furniture, and bulbs for recycling.
Scrap metal, computer towers/laptops, Christmas lights and cell phones are accepted free of charge.
Then on May 4, they will hold another event at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City. This is their 15th year collecting at the church. Both events go from 8am to 2pm.
Thanks to Mark and his crew for keeping our garages clean.
Chisago Lakes Community Education invites you and your family to this year’s spring play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The comedy runs May 3-5 at the PAC at the high school. I had the opportunity to take in the show this week to take some photos for the paper, and believe me, you will enjoy this light hearted Shakespeare adaptation. The shows run at 7pm on May 3 & 4, and on Sunday afternoon at 2pm. You can purchase tickets at the door of the PAC.
Next Tuesday the public is invited to Trio Wolf Creek Online School open house. The open house runs from 3-5pm and you can learn about another option for your child to obtain their diploma. Trio is located in Chisago City at 10363 Liberty Lane.
On May 4, the great bunch of people that make up Let’s Go Fishing East Central MN Chapter, invite your family to the annual pancake breakfast fundraiser. The breakfast will be held at Mainstreet Church in downtown North Branch and will feature pancakes, sausage, eggs and a drink. Also at the breakfast, they will hold a raffle for a child’s ATV along with hundreds of silent auction items. The meal and event are from 8am to 11am and entry is a free will offering. Money raised supports the Let’s Go Fishing mission of taking Veterans, seniors, and those living with disabilities out on the lake aboard a pontoon for a day of fun.
If you have not renewed your subscription as of yet, this week we will be sending out blue-colored renewal cards. We have made it as easy as possible to renew. Just fill out the credit card info or send a check in and we will make sure your subscription doesn’t miss a beat. Thanks for reading!
