The Minnesota State Patrol reported a 16-year-old driver was transported to Regions for medical care following an incident, Sunday, August 4, involving a truck pulling a horse trailer and the injured driver’s Equinox SUV.  Authorities were dispatched about 10:50 a.m.

The injured female was turning onto Park Trail to travel north, off eastbound Highway 95, and the state patrol said she turned in front of a Ram pickup pulling a horse trailer, driven by 28 year old Whitney Ostlund, who had a 26 year old female passenger, Hannah Gillette, of North Branch, with her.  

The preliminary details are the Equinox SUV ended up in the ditch, but there was no detail regarding vehicle contact.  The driver, Tayler Jean Marie Peterson, from Shafer, was the only party transported and she was taken to Regions.
