Caucus night Feb. 27 throughout county

The 2024 election caucus events for the Republican and Democrat parties have been announced for Chisago County.  Caucus gatherings are open to the public, and you attend a caucus for the voting precinct where you live.

There are delegates chosen from attendees at these caucus sites;  so if you wish to move on and be involved in regional and state conventions and be active in 2024 elections and your party platform development— it all starts here— Tuesday, February 27.

Caucus sites open at 6:30 for registration and formal sessions convene at 7 p.m.

With the dissolution of Lent Township into the boundaries of the city of Stacy—two Stacy precincts were established and both meet at Lent Town Hall.  GOP and DFL party members also both meet at Lent Town Hall.

North Branch City has three precincts and all members of both the GOP or DFL parties’ precincts  gather at North Branch High School. Check the listings on this page or info posted at the school,  for the room where you need to be.

Wyoming Elementary School is also going to be an active place with Republican and Democratic caucuses for two Wyoming precincts, both slated for this location.

If you vote Republican in Shafer Township, make sure you do not go to the Shafer City caucus site.  Shafer Township GOP member citizens meet at the township hall on Highway 95.

Shafer City Hall is for the Republican residents of the precinct in the city.

Shafer area Democrats all will caucus at Taylors Falls Elementary School.

All caucus activity of both parties,  for residents of Taylors Falls,  is scheduled in the Taylors Falls Elementary School.

Caucus activity for residents of both Sunrise Township and Amador Township who consider themselves Democrats, happens at Sunrise Township Hall.

Amador Republicans will gather at Amador Township Hall in Almelund.

Sunrise Republicans use the meeting room at Sunrise Bible Church.

Delegates named at caucuses  represent their areas at upcoming conventions that are organized around senate districts, congressional districts and the state parties’ gathering.
