East Central Regional Branch Libraries were the subject of a threat investigated by area law enforcement, Saturday, Jan. 6.  Branches were closed for caution.  The threats were reported to be baseless.

January 6 a Harris area burglary and vehicle entry were reported on 439th Street. The county responded and checked out the property. About an hour later a vehicle that was called in as “suspicious” and was in the general area, was detained after a brief pursuit. Items were recovered alleged to have been missing from the original burglary complainant’s  household.  The persons detained in this traffic stop were from Austin, MN and from Columbia Heights, MN.

January 5 a THC-vape device was in the possession of a Chisago Lakes Middle School student who was cited.

January 1 an alarm at Lindstrom Senior Living complex proved to be false, it’s believed a hot dryer triggered it about 5:20 p.m.

Vehicles collided on Chisago Boulevard at Morgan Avenue, south of Lindstrom, about noon.  An eastbound vehicle reportedly  passed through the intersection on the boulevard and a southbound vehicle whose driver “didn’t see” the eastbound vehicle pulled from the stop sign and smashed into it. Nobody was transported.
