Black eye? Thanks Ma Nature

What a blow Mother Nature gave us the last few days. To go from the 40’s and wearing sweatshirts for  outdoor apparel to donning Carhartt coats with face masks to protect our cheeks from below zero temps.

I get it, we have had cold so many times before, yes you are correct. But we had gotten spoiled with an incredibly warm fall and warm winter to this point.

Then, Monday we had a message on our phone saying it was Xcel warning of higher gas rates due to natural gas supply and demand.

Somebody throw us a bone here please.

I had a somewhat lengthy conversation about AI (artificial intelligence0 and the future of our world.  Yeah, they picked me— the dumbest person in a one person room— to ask.  Anyway, this person told me they were super excited to see what the future holds with AI.  Like the wet blanket that I am, I said that I envision AI putting many Americans out of work in the future.  The tech world should be quite nervous as should the publishing world.  I did find something positive to say about the future of AI… I said (this is only my opinion) that AI will only help the trades industry get stronger with a larger workforce realizing that AI can’t wire a building, or install plumbing etc… Who knows what the future will bring - heck - who knows if I even wrote this??

Thanks so much for your donations of youth-sized  life preservers for Let’s Go Fishing.  We have about 20 donated so far, but still could use a few more.  If you have any laying around and maybe the kids or grandkids are grown, by all means bring them in.  They will go to good use for a great program.

Thank you also for your continual donations to the homeless.  I know I write about this a lot, but if you could see just how many trips have been made over the years, you would have a better understanding of how much you have helped those less fortunate than you.  As long as you keep donating, we will ensure garments, socks, etc. go directly to the homeless in Minnesota.
