Cambridge-Isanti 85, North Branch 83
Despite some big individual efforts, the Vikings fell just short against Cambridge last week.
Brody Beaver had 19 points and 11 assists, Evan Overson had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Tyler Minke scored 23 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the big offensive outputs from C-I. John Troolin and Emerson Droubie combined for 60 points, 15 rebounds and four steals. Noah Thomsen chipped in 13 points in the losing effort for the Vikings.
North Branch 86. Rock Ridge 78
The Vikings’ big trio of Minke, Beaver and Thorsen combined for 68 points as the Vikings beat the Rock Ridge Wolverines on Saturday, January 13. The Vikings kept Rock Ridge at bay throughout, leading by six at the break and then adding on just a bit in the second half for the eight point margin.
North Branch started a four game home stand earlier this week, with Princeton on the docket on Tuesday, Monticello coming to town on Thursday and Spectrum and St. Francis on Saturday and next Tuesday, respectively.
