Center City Council accepts supervisor resignation
Center City Council members accepted the resignation of the public works supervisor at a special meeting Monday this week. Eric Garner has been with the city for 11 years. His last day at work is July 12.
He assured the three council members present that he doesn’t want to leave any loose strings and wants to make the transition to a new supervisor as smooth as possible. He can sign-off on reports and even though he is accepting a new job at a town in west Wisconsin, he will be available to answer questions about city operations and upcoming projects.
Mayor Jill Behnke, Lloyd Vetter and Mark Wolcott agreed any discussion about pay scale and job description revisions can be held over for the July city council meeting.
Center City has part time and seasonal staff who will be trusted to take up any regular rounds and scheduled projects for now until a new supervisor can be hired.
