This Sunday is a big one.  Mother’s Day is our chance to tell and show our moms what they mean to us.  Many of you have lost your mom just like me, so we have to turn our attention to those mother figures in our lives.  For instance, our home celebrates my wife for being such a wonderful mom and being the most patient person in the world being married to an ogre like me.  I do miss my mom and not a day goes by without some thought of her and what she instilled in me.  

So please take a minute, an hour or maybe even the day and show your mom or the mother figure in your life, just how much they have impacted you.  It’s been said one trillion times, it’s over in a snap so take the time today.

This Saturday you are invited to Anderson Koch Ford in North Branch for their annual Chocolate, Coffee and Cars.  The name is pretty self explanatory.  They will have some amazing chocolates to enjoy when looking at their huge inventory and they are giving away a 50 inch smart tv to one lucky winner.  The event goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

I can’t believe the success the Timberwolves are having this postseason.  Maybe it’s the “woe is me” Minnesota sports mentality, but I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.  And it just doesn’t.  Something is different with this year’s team.  If they happen to not make it out of this round, which would be almost impossible at this rate, this season was still the most fun I can remember. Sorry Kevin Garnett.
