November 24 An arrest was made following a county traffic stop on a freeway ramp for a tail light out. The deputy pulled over a vehicle with a man and woman inside, about 8 p.m.   The K9 alerted on a substance and the vehicle was found to be allegedly carrying heroin.  The passenger was detained on a warrant and the driver was arrested.

November 23 A car fire in Fish Lake Township was reported about 4 a.m. Checking the vehicle it was reported as stolen, from North St. Paul. The tires and rims had been removed before the fire.

November 22 A dog involved in a dog-on-dog attack Nov. 18 in Chisago City was determined to qualify as a “dangerous dog.” The owner will be required to take a number of measures ensuring containment, vaccination, insurance, etc. The animal resides at an address on Old Towne Road.

A fight at Chisago Lakes High School reported about 8 a.m. Two students were allegedly the aggressors and one victim was involved, the two were cited for disorderly conduct. A juvenile also was cited by Lakes Area Police for possessing a THC vaping device on school property.

November 20 A fire hydrant was damaged and broken off and leaking about 10:30 a.m. at the business/industrial  park in Chisago City. Video from nearby businesses is being reviewed for determining the culprit and charges.

A Chisago Lakes Middle School student was arrested and transported by Lakes Area Police to the regional juvenile center following an incident about 1:20 p.m.

November 18 Police went to have a talk with a property owner advertising a VRBO that doesn’t have a local license to operate as a short term rental. The vacation rental property is at Park Place, Chisago City.
