The state patrol is investigating a two vehicle crash near the intersection of 270th and Highway 8 about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday June 9 that left a St Croix Falls woman dead.

The preliminary information is that the victim, 75-year old Rebecca Mae Freedom was eastbound on #8 in her Ford Ranger when she crossed the centerline and hit a westbound Nissan Murano car. The 65 year old female driver from Eagan, was transported for medical care to an unidentified facility.  

Lakes Area and Wyoming Police assisted at the scene and Chisago City Fire provided support.  Allina air ambulance was dispatched and Lakes Region EMS ground transport also was on scene.
