Joseph W. Mier, Jr., 71, of Chisago City, MN, died February 3, 2025 in St. Paul, MN of pneumonia after a one-month illness. He was born on February 19, 1953 in Weyerhaeuser, WI to Joseph W. & Mary (Larson) Mier, Sr.. Joseph graduated from Bruce High School and lived in the Bruce area until he moved to Minnesota in the early 2000's. He and Polly Hart were married on January 2, 1976 in Earl, WI. They later divorced. 

Joseph participated in theater while attending WITC-Rice Lake. He loved to sing and play guitar, sing karaoke, go to church at the Lakes Free Church in Lindstrom, MN where he was a member and he loved the Lord and telling all about his greatness.

He is survived by his son, Joseph W. Mier, III and Michelle (Lohse) of Rice Lake, WI, his daughter, Jenny Hardy and Shannon of St. Paul, MN, 10 grandchildren, two brothers: Ben and Don Mier both of Ladysmith, WI and four sisters: Annette Collier of Barron, WI, Kathy Mier of Rice Lake, Jean Mier of Annandale, MN and Julie Mickelson of Ladysmith.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Mary Mier and his brother, Jamie Mier.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
