Douglas W. Dick, age 76 of Forest Lake, passed away peacefully comforted by family on November 4, 2024.  Doug was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. 

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents and mother, Lois Hawkinson.  Doug is survived by his wife Marlis, children Amy (Dave) Reider, Laurie (Jim) Miller, Linda Dick, Kelly (Troy) Marr, Rodney (Sara) Dick, Ryan (Jessica Aho) Dick, Rachel (Jesse) Anderson; 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; siblings Lorraine Schletty and Darwin Dick.  

Doug was very proud of his large family and loved to share stories about them often.  Doug had a strong devotion for work. He built his successful career of 47 years at Berwald Roofing. Doug enjoyed spending his time golfing, shooting pool, watching sports and most of all, fishing.  Anyone who met Doug could sense his infectious passion for fishing.  He loved sharing his fishing adventures and stories with friends, family, and even strangers. Doug enjoyed life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held noon – 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Chisago Lake Township, 12400 316th Street Lindstrom, MN 55045.  Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
