Death in Wyoming not linked to foul play
The Wyoming Police are awaiting the medical examiner final report on a deceased male discovered in a snowbank Sunday morning, in the Foxboro Avenue area.
Public Safety Director and Chief of Police Neil Bauer released the victim’s identity February 19; and stated the contributing factors behind the death of 45 year old Richard Lee Martinez appear to be alcohol and extreme cold temperatures and no foul play is indicated.
Police were dispatched to the report of a male unresponsive, in the roadway about 6:47 a.m. Sunday. EMS and officers found Martinez dead on arrival. Preliminary investigation showed he had been at a neighbor’s house and was observed around 11:30 p.m. the previous evening when he fell multiple times walking, the police stated.
Wyoming Police offered condolences to family and friends of the deceased and extend thanks to partner law enforcement agencies helping in the case.
