A blighted property in Lindstrom is coming down. The old “OJ” juice factory demolition has been awarded to Carl Bolander and Sons. The property is under ownership of Prelude Holdings, its president Phil Dommer said demolition is expected to occur in early 2025.
Dommer remarked, “The juice factory played an important role in this community for some time and is currently in need of cost-prohibitive upgrades to keep pace with the market demands of this popular community.
“The cleared site will better bring a new perspective and new building to the vision and viability of this important location,” he concluded.
Multi-family housing developer Reuter Walton has the property under contract from Prelude Holdings to construct a planned residential project, overlooking the Lions Park area to the south.
The demolition will remove a 31,000 square foot building leaving the 2.3 acre site.
The housing is planned on a portion of the lot. The north-facing land (on St Croix Avenue) is slated for commercial use. Crossroads Properties is the broker of the commercial lots.
Dommer explained there has been conversation with the retail mall and the Carlson gas and service station, on either side, and he “...looks forward to collectively improving and adding value to the east end of Lindstrom.”
