I hope you had a chance to get to Wannigan Days over the weekend.  After a drizzly start on Saturday the skies cleared and it was beautiful.  

As you can see by the photos on the back page, people were having a blast. 

 Thanks to Lynn and all the great people that work hard to make Wannigan Days such a fun event.  

If you have a hankering for more fun this weekend is Center City Days.  Beginning Friday with an all day rummage sale at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church.  At 5:45pm, the annual Kiddie Parade makes its way down Center Avenue ending at Water Tower Park.  That’s where there will be a community potluck picnic (please bring food to share).  At the fire hall at 7pm there is a cash bingo with pop, beer and food for purchase.

Saturday starts with a 5k race for adults and kids. Registration is at 7:15am with the run/walk starting at 8am.  Meet at the fire hall for registration.

In front of Marine Dock& Lift you will find a vendor fair and kids games all day.  

Pizza Pub is hosting a cribbage tournament at 11am and the missing lutefisk hunt begins at 1pm at the main tent with clues posted every 30 minutes.  

At 4pm back at the church, they invite everyone to the popular outdoor community pig roast which runs until 6pm.  The grande parade starts at 6pm and meanders down Mainstreet and Summit Avenue about 6pm.

The street dance features “Midnight” and starts at 8pm under the main tent.

Sunday has a pancake breakfast at the fire hall starting at 8am.  Chisago Lake Lutheran Church invites all to an outdoor service on the church lawn that starts at 9am.  There is a car show in front of Marine Dock that runs from 11am-2pm.  The day ends with the annual boat parade which begins at Lorens Park and makes its way around the lakes at 2pm.  

Let’s hope the weather holds up for all the fun events.

Remember the community free meal is still taking place at Zion Lutheran Church fellowship hall,  every Monday, in Chisago City.  

The meal begins at 4:30 with a free-will offering at the door.  If you would like to volunteer to help serve the meal please call Emmy at 651-775-3367.
