Graduation time, girls to state!

News

As you can see by the middle spread in this paper, this is graduation week.  Chisago Lakes, North Branch and Trio Wolf Creek students all graduate this week.  As I write this, the rain has been falling for seven hours and doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon.  Let’s hope the front moves out so the outdoor graduations can take place.

Congratulations to all the seniors for your hard work to get you to this point.  I know a decent amount of seniors and they all seem to have a plan for their lives.  A far cry from Matt Silver in 1987...  You all will do great whatever avenue you choose!

We will be cutting off those of you who have not renewed your subscription by next week.  If you stop getting the paper for non-payment, simply give us a call at 651-257-5115 or go to chisagocountypress.com and click on subscribe.  We will ensure you don’t miss a beat and your paper is continued.  As always, we really appreciate your loyalty!

Congratulations also to the Chisago Lakes Wildcats girls softball team for punching their ticket to the state tournament in Mankato. I am positive they will do well.  We have a nice big write up on the exciting game that got them into the tournament.

Also congrats to all the track, tennis and golf athletes who’ve qualified for state from North Branch and Chisago Lakes. What an accomplishment!

Harmony in the Park officially kicks off this week. Rusty and Woody invite everyone to the Wednesday evening events starting at 6:30pm.  This week is the White Sidewalls with a car show prior, and next week will be Dueling Pianos with Charlie O.   Grab a lawn chair or blanket and head to the Lions Park by Lindstrom city hall for this awesome series.

This smoke in the air, whether it is from northern Minnesota or the fires in Manitoba is not good. I normally am not affected by smoke (I can sit by a campfire all day) but this go ‘round of smoke has given me a sore throat and earaches.  I hope they are extinguished soon,

I can’t imagine what it feels like for those with breathing problems.
