The North Branch man convicted of second degree murder, criminal vehicular homicide and assault in an incident that resulted in the death of a 17 year old female in a Forest Lake park,  was sentenced in Washington County District Court March 20.

 Dylan Robert Simmons, 21, was ordered to prison for about 20 years.  He was on video and witnesses told Forest Lake investigators that he drove into a crowd of people at Lakeside Park in July 2023 and then used his car to run over the victim, Darisha Bailey Vath.
