Rotary Club has done it again
We have ended our subscription renewal campaign here at the Press. Many thanks to those of you who took advantage of our early renewal offer and thanks so much to those of you who subscribed recently.
If you have yet to subscribe, I would encourage you to do so soon. We will have a short grace window until we have to cut non-payment subscribers off.
Simply go to chisagocountypress.com or send a check to Chisago County Press, PO Box 748, Lindstrom MN 55045. We will ensure you don’t miss a beat.
I had the opportunity to take in a Memorial Day ceremony, and this year I attended the one held at Franconia cemetery. Some years the turnout will be so- so and some years the turnout will be amazing (as it was on Monday.) The cemetery was packed with people of all ages paying their respects to our veterans who dutifully served our great country. Thanks to all who came out to any of the many services put on by our amazing service men and women in our area. It warms my heart to see such admiration.
Why do I bother wasting space writing about Minnesota professional teams. Every time I get excited, they bring me back to reality. I am going to do you all a favor and not watch anymore Timberwolves games, that way they may have a chance to win another game or two. I didn’t get a chance to watch any of the Minnesota Frost games this post-season and yep, you guessed it, they won it all. I am the Minnesota sports jinx.
Please take some time and head over to Rotary Park in Chisago City. The Chisago Lakes Rotary Club has (along with some amazing local artists) just opened their Peace Park and it is amazing! We have an article about it on the back page of this issue, but you have to see it for yourself.
Thanks to all who made this beautiful addition a reality!
