Thanks so much to the folks at Chisago City for hosting the very popular Easter Egg hunt last Saturday.  Hundreds showed up for all of the fun and games.

 If you missed last week’s don’t worry, next week (April 11), the city of Shafer invites everyone out to Shafer Meadows Park for their inaugural Easter Egg Hunt.  The hunt begins at 10am and children of all ages are welcome. There will be free cotton candy and popcorn for everyone.  Shafer Meadows is located at 17610 311th St.  See you there.

This Sunday is Easter Sunday, one of the most important days of the year for those of you who believe in Jesus.  I, as I have stated many times here, am one of those who believe.  So this Sunday is very meaningful in our home.  Is it a chance to get together with family and enjoy a wonderful meal? Absolutely!  And gorge yourself on malted milk chocolate eggs (yes, and they are my kryptonite)? Yep. 

It’s also a chance for us to reflect on the impact of Jesus on our lives.  I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter!

As you can see, the lakes are getting very close to being ice free.  So close in fact that we had our first set of carp fishermen patrolling the lake on Monday evening.  Not sure how they manuevered around the constant shifting of what ice sheets we have left, but nonetheless it was a sure sign of spring.  I know the carp fishermen bother some people who live on the water, but personally, I love them.  Get rid of the carp. Every last one of them.
