One more egg hunt, new play at CL
I trust you had a wonderful Easter with your family on Sunday. Ours was good - we had our extended family Easter on Saturday which was cold and snowy. But it’s spring in Minnesota - what do we expect?
There is one last Easter event taking place this Saturday in Shafer. The city of Shafer and their parks committee members invite everyone to the city’s first ever Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt will take place at Shafer Meadows Park and begins at 10am sharp. Children of all ages are invited to take part in the hunt which will feature cotton candy and popcorn for all to enjoy. Shafer Meadows is located at 17610 311th Street, which is just north of 310th (the back way to Taylors Falls.
As the weather starts to turn warmer, I wanted to thank all of you who graciously donated clothing and supplies to the homeless this season. You never cease to amaze me with your generosity. Please know that every item donated does go directly to the homeless and not to any store that charges for clothing. All stores like that have their place and where you donate is always your choice, but in our case, it’s always to the homeless.
If you want to give in the near future, they are asking for seasonal (not winter warm) clothing as well as the constant need for underwear and socks. Thank you again for giving.

The Chisago Lakes high school theater students and Chisago Lakes Community Education would like to invite the public to the spring production of The Diary of Anne Frank. Heavy stuff I know, but these kids have been busting their tails rehearsing for the production and they always put on a wonderful show.
The show runs April 17 and 18 at 7pm and Sunday April 19 at 2pm at the PAC at the high school.
