Ki Chi Saga Days are upon us
Thank goodness the heat has finally broke. I am okay if we never hit the 90’s again. Looking at my Xcel bill, my pocketbook would agree with me.
So with the weather finally working with us and not against us, this should set up a wonderful weekend for Ki Chi Saga Days. Chisago City would love to invite you, your family and friends to their 59th annual Ki Chi Saga Days. The event kicks off Thursday (today) with city wide garage sales. See page 10 for a list of sales and their locations.
Friday the garage sales continue as well as Frankie’s hosting their popular pro bass tournament. Moberg Park will be the central location for the majority of the fun and will feature a farmers market, live music, kids crafts, and balloon art. Friday wraps up with Lucha Libre all star wrestling at the Uncommon Loon. Wrestling begins at 6pm.
Saturday, Ki Chi Saga Days is packed with events. There is a pickelball tournament in Chuckie Lindquist Park that runs from 9-11am. Moberg Park will have a vendor fair with more great music. At 10am, the hunt will begin for the missing Moberg Bike Horn. win $500 if you are the lucky finder! Clues will be posted in the city hall front window every hour until found.
Bring the kids and their fishing poles to Paradise Park at 10am for the kids fishing contest. At noon back at Moberg Park, they will crown the 2026 Little Miss at the pavillion. Also at paradise Park there will be a kids fun zone, with inflatables, face painting, petting zoo, and great food. cost is $10 per child.
Fireworks cap off the day at Paradise Park at dusk and Dirt road Dixie will headline the street dance at Frankie’s.
Sunday, the vendors are in Moberg Park along with a Gordon Lightfoot tribute band, and two other great bands. The grand day parade will make its way up Old Towne road beginning at the Primary school at 2pm. And as always, Ki Chi Saga Days caps off with the annual pie eating contest back at Moberg Park at 5pm.
Plenty to take in, but come and go as you like, the weather is going to be perfect and we hope to see you out there!
