If you have a local business or a home business, I would highly encourage you to consider partaking in the 2026 Chisago Lakes Home & Business Expo.  The expo  is  February 21 (Saturday) and will run from 9am to 3pm in the Wildcat Community Center.  It’s a great chance to meet prospective customers, get your name out in the public, and network with other local businesses who are all trying to make a living right now.  If you have never been in the show, it is a very laid-back show where visitors come and go and many love to stop and chat.  I have a great time at the shows.

To register, you can simply go to isd2144.ce.eleyo.com.  That takes you right to the registration link.  It’s easy and many businesses will tell you the expo is well worth taking part in.  

Just a quick note, I took a massive load of clothing that you have donated to the homeless shelter Sunday.  The folks that work there wanted me to pass along a message to you....”Thank you!”  They said they are blown away when we show up with all the great items this community has donated.  

What on earth is happening with our weather lately?  We took a walk on the ice a few days ago, and while we could see full size trucks and ice houses everywhere, we proceeded to fall through the ice in a few spots.  Luckily we were in shallow water, but the inconsistency of the ice this year is incredible.  Now add an inch of rain we got Monday evening and who knows what it’s like?

We still have not heard from two of our coloring winners.  Olivia Merry and Aubrey Stenson please come to the Press for your prizes.
