Report of a vehicle that was suspected of running a stop sign at Quinlan and Pleasant Valley Road, striking a passing vehicle north bound on Pleasant Valley, about 5:50 p.m.  Driver cited for careless driving.

April 25

Dog bite reported to Lakes Area Police, about 6:30 p.m. at Lindstrom Beach Park. A child playing at the playground was injured. The dog owner is cooperating.  Parents transported the child for care.

An officer went to a ditch area north of Chisago City on a report of dead farm animals and tires, among other debris, dumped at the site. Under investigation.

April 24

Students at Chisago Lakes Middle School were evacuated for safety when a report of a gas leak originating in kitchen area was made. Xcel responded immediately and children returned to finish the day when all-clear was announced.

April 23

Traffic stop resulted in arrest of vehicle operator for possessing meth and firearm which the subject is prohibited from having. The stop was made about 2:30 a.m.

 A Flock automated license plate reader alerted on a stolen plate which was recorded, westbound on Hwy 8. The arrest was made about 2:30 p.m. east of Shafer.

April 22

A backyard fire pit was excessive in size and contained alleged prohibited materials. Located on Lofton Avenue and Chisago City, fire was dispatched to handle.

April 20

Student arrested at Chisago Lakes Middle School  for allegedly distributing large dose gummies with THC content that resulted in making students ill. Lakes Area Police made the arrest of a minor-aged person who was taken to the Regional Juvenile Detention Center and THC gummies product located in student possession,  confiscated.
