Wisconsin meet features cheeseheads’ best vs Wildcats
Osceola Invitational
Travelling to Cheeseland for the 7-team Osceola Invitational on Tuesday, April 28, the Wildcat track team had to contend with a powerful Osceola team and Rice Lake’s Addison Schmidt, one of the top girl throwers in Wisconsin. But the Wildcats fared well. The girls finished second to Osceola, and the boys came in third behind Osceola and Hudson.
Girls
Distance runners led the way for the Wildcat girls, with a sweep of all three events. Annika Hall recorded wins in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs. She won the 800 with a time of 2:28.19, two seconds faster than second-place teammate Lauren Kowarsch. Hall finished first in the 1600 in 5:15.98, 12 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
