The Chisago County Historical Society’s second annual Spring Tea held at the Lindstrom Community Center May 2 was a great success! A “sold-out” crowd of 92 people enjoyed tasty food and tea while seated at 13 individually designed tables in a wonderfully transformed space. After dessert, a “Wedding Fashions: Old and New” program was presented by CCHS and Farm and Thread Boutique.
Door prizes were won by the following: Sheryl Mellgren, Marlys Hafner, Pastor Sarah Kerkes, Becky Dudley, Shirley Wachholz, Joan Molitor, Kelly Wood, Sarah Cedergren, Deloris Smrstick, Kim Sedlund Rickoff, Hillary Timmons-Tejeda, Monica Tosteson and Sally Turnquist. The “grand door prize” a floral centerpiece donated by Lindstrom Flower Shop, was won by Val Lee.
The winners of the “favorite table” voting were Betty Hagberg and Sharon Tretsven with their table entitled “Violets in the Springtime” (below photo right) Silent auction winners for 61 donated prizes were announced and closing remarks were given by Neil Gatzow, CCHS Board President.
It “takes a village” to do an event like this and CCHS is very thankful to the following:
