This weekend is the Ojiketa Holistic Expo.  This Saturday everyone is invited to come to treat your mind, body and soul for a day of wellness.  The free event features over 20 wellness vendors, free wellness classes all day as well as free lectures.  The classes and lectures will take place in the Zonta Lodge and Strom Hall which are close to each other in the beautiful park.  The event runs from 11am to 4pm.  Ojiketa Regional Park is located at 27500 Kirby Avenue in Chisago City west of Old Towne Road.

Also taking place this weekend is the annual Chisago Lakes Community Garage Sales.  On page 6 we have an ad that lists participating homes hosting sales.  More will be popping up so when you are out and about keep your eyes open for more sales. 

For those of you who are wondering if the Government Center in Center City is open due to the ongoing strike, it is.  They are open and doing business as usual.

Now that fishing season has officially kicked off - it’s a good time to remind you to send us your big fish photos. Maybe it was you or maybe it was your kid who caught the big one, share it with us and the readers of the Chisago County Press.  Send them to [email protected].

This Saturday from 10am to 2pm the FFA folks invite everyone to their annual Farm City Days.  You will find live farm animals, a crane truck, all kinds of tractors along with games, a food truck and ice cream.  The younger kids and kids such as myself really enjoy seeing the farm equipment up close so bring your cameras. The event runs from 10am to 2pm. at the Chisago Lakes High School off Olinda TRail in Lindstrom.

Oh, did I mention the greenhouse is open at the high school?  Nice!
