Schools of the Mississippi 8 Conference, including Chisago Lakes,  are invited to submit up to 18 of the best works of art created this school year. Students have to write an essay, and be in good standings with the MSHSL to participate. Professional Judges then critique each piece and award points earning Superior, Excellent, and Honorable Mention recognition. All M8 artists are invited to the show for viewing and awards.  Big Lake High School hosted and following the awards ceremony they offered a print making workshop where students learned a new medium and made their own litho print.  It was a great day for art, with15 Superior ratings, 2 Excellent, and Colin Yechout won BEST IN DRAWING.
