Chisago Lakes finishes 11th at Class AA True Team state
Class AA State True Team Meet
The Wildcat girls track team participated in the state Class AA True Team meet last Saturday, May 16 and finished eleventh out of 12 teams at the meet. The top scorer for the Wildcats was sophomore Madison Eagle, who finished second in the shot put and sixth in the discus for a total of 42 points. Eagle was in fourth place in the shot put before her final throw of 37’0” jumped her into second place. Sophomore distance runner Annika Hall was right behind Eagle with 41 points after coming in third in the 3200-meter run and sixth in the 1600-meter run. Hall led the 3200-meter run by a step at 1200 meters, Carsyn Lill of Fergus Falls took the lead on the next lap, and Mya Werner of Delano passed both Hall and Lill on the final lap to win the race by nearly three seconds.
Other significant individual scorers include Addison Griffin, 100-meter dash and long jump, 32 points; and McKaylie Malek, 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles, 23 points.

Track Tidbits
Yesterday, the Wildcats hosted the Mississippi 8 Conference Championship Meet at Chisago Lakes High School.
The Section 7AA Championship preliminaries will take place next Wednesday, May 27 starting at 10 a.m. at Rock Ridge High School. The finals will be held at Rock Ridge High School on Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m.
