The North Brach softball team had a nightmare start to their Section 7AAA tourney last week. The third-seeded Vikings were upset 6-1 by the sixth-seeded Denfeld Hunters in the opening round, making their trek through the bracket infinitely harder.  The Vikings rebounded nicely with a 10-0 win over Grand Rapids in the first round of the consolation bracket, but with no margin for error left, they dropped a 3-2 contest to county rival Chisago Lakes in the next round after beating the Wildcats twice this year.

The loss ended the season for the Vikings in disappointing fashion after they started out so fast.
