After-school escape room a hit with Chisago Lakes Middle-schoolers

Students had fun solving puzzles and fitting the clues together to "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library", an Escape Room that was set up afterschool in the Chisago Lakes Middle School Media Center's Makerspace.

Supt. Henton accepts MASA Executive Director position, to leave North Branch July 1

The Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA) has announced that North Branch Area Public Schools (NBAPS) Superintendent Deb Henton will be its next Executive Director. Henton will continue to serve as the school district's Superintendent until June 30. and Her work with MASA starts July 1.

North Branch robotics teams fare well at Lakeville tournament

Three North Branch FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams competed in late November  at Lakeville South High School.  With numerous first year groups, it was a tremendous learning experience for driving the robot, learning game strategies, and finding ways to improve the robot before the next competition.

The Chisago Lakes School Board regular meeting tonight, August 8, is the last session being held at the middle school.  The Board meetings shift to the new Lakeside Elementary School as of September 26, the next regular meeting.

Help math teachers acquire enough donated calculators for every student

Having the necessary tools for any job is key-- and when it came to the attention of math instructors at Chisago Lakes High School that  students lacked the proper calculators for advanced math classes, instructors took matters into their own hands.
