Ruby R. Rasmussen, after living in three different centuries, passed away June 2, 2003, at the age of 107 years, 8 months, and 6 days.

She was born Sept. 26, 1895, in Colfax, Wis. After moving to St. Paul, she met and married Arthur Rasmussen in 1924. They resided in St. Paul until 1962 when Art retired from the railroad. They purchased a mobile home and located it on the farm of Elmer and Florence Paetzel, north of Lindstrom. Art passed away in 1978. Ruby continued to live in the mobile home until 1996 when she moved in with Florence Paetzel, in Lindstrom. Later she became a resident of the Green Acres Country Care Center, in North Branch, until the time of her passing.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Art; and four brothers.

She leaves to mourn her special friend, Florence Paetzel, Karen (Bruce) Kubat, Ken (Mary) Paetzel, Jon (Jody) Brehm, Josh Brehm, Sara and Kevin Paetzel as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Grandstrand Funeral Home, June 5, 2003, with Pastor Don Oldenburg officiating. Chris Bjorklund organist and soloist. Interment at Hillside Cemetery, Center City, Minn.
