John was born Nov. 30, 1955, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Victor and Grace (Nordrum) Bistodeau. He attended school at North Branch High School and graduated in 1974. He then attended Hennepin Technical School for two years. John owned J&J Carquest for 13 years, and Bill’s Trailers for four years.
John enjoyed classic cars, softball, basketball, golf, snowmobiling and cooking.
He is preceded in death by his parents Victor Bistodeau and mother, Grace Hokanson, and stepfather, Vince Hokanson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Suzanne; his son, Chad and wife Franny, and his daughter, Rossi and Ryan Cannon; brothers: Douglas and wife Dayle, Steven and wife Cheryl, Jeffrey and wife Kelly; sisters: Vicki LaBelle, Susan Larson and Holly Fairbanks and husband Timothy. He is also survived by many in-laws, brothers-in-law: James and wife Cindy, and Loren; sisters-in-law: Shirley, Phyllis and husband Dan, and Dorean; nieces and nephews: Robin, Jay, Tammy, Kelly, Katie, Krystal, Abby, Bonnie, Cori, Eric, Brandon and Lindsey; Ginger, Sheila, Cory, Jeremy, Jeanne, Brian, Carrie, Greg, Jody, Heidi, Aaron, Jesse and Jill. He was adored by many great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Loren Mellum and Rev. Gale Knutson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
